Two Weeks, Four Islands, One Epic Trip
If you are lucky enough to have two weeks in Hawaii, you can experience the best of four different islands without feeling rushed. Fourteen days gives each island room to breathe, with time for its signature adventures and a few slow beach days too. Here is a sample two-week island hopping itinerary that flows naturally from island to island.
Days 1 to 4: Oahu
Start on Oahu, the easiest island to fly into and a perfect introduction to Hawaii. Base yourself in Waikiki and spend your days at the beach, hiking Diamond Head, and paying a respectful visit to Pearl Harbor. Take a circle island drive to the North Shore, then ease into island time before your first inter-island flight.
Days 5 to 8: Maui
Next, hop to Maui, the island of scenic drives and sunsets. Devote a full day to the famous Road to Hana, catch sunrise or sunset at Haleakala, and relax on the island’s golden beaches. Maui’s laid-back pace makes it a wonderful middle stretch of the trip.

The Two-Week Flow at a Glance
- Days 1 to 4: Oahu, the vibrant hub and easy starting point.
- Days 5 to 8: Maui, scenic drives, beaches, and Haleakala.
- Days 9 to 11: Big Island, volcanoes and dramatic landscapes.
- Days 12 to 14: Kauai, lush cliffs and a peaceful finish.
Days 9 to 11: The Big Island
From Maui, fly to the Big Island for the most dramatic scenery in the state. Spend time at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, see the Kilauea landscape, explore black sand beaches, and take in the island’s incredible range of climates from lava fields to green valleys.
Days 12 to 14: Kauai
Finish on Kauai, the lush and peaceful Garden Isle. Marvel at Waimea Canyon, admire the emerald Na Pali Coast, and slow right down for your final days. Ending on Hawaii’s most relaxing island is the perfect way to wind down a big adventure before you fly home.
Tips for a Smooth Two Weeks
Book your inter-island flights for mid-morning so travel days are easy, and rent a car separately on the neighbor islands, since rentals cannot island hop. Pack light, keep one flexible day per island, and let us help arrange the flights, timing, and any guided day trips. With a little planning, two weeks in Hawaii becomes the trip of a lifetime.
